The Department of Biomedical Sciences and Human Oncology of the University of Turin, Italy (BSHO-UOT) is a dynamic structure composed of more than 50 faculty members. Its main fields of activities are: specialist and high-level advanced training, research and is a mixed structure serving as a clinical department of Surgical Pathology for the “San Giovanni Battista Hospital” of Turin (this hospital is currently ranked #3 among all hospitals in Italy, based on size, number of specialty and quality of the clinical activities; www.molinette.piemonte.it). BSHO-UOT is part of the Medical School, Specialty School on Pathological Anatomy, Specialty School in Technical and Diagnostic Science organises university post-graduated master and PhD courses. BSHO-UOT participates to European projects (III, IV, V, VI, VII framework programme, Erasmus, Marie Curie, ERC, etc.).
